Sunday we had a few friends over for brunch, nothing too extravagant...just some potatoes, greens and eggs. What made the potatoes special was the mixed variety, and of course the curve ball rutabaga thrown in there for an extra zip. We've never eaten rutabaga before, but it was quite nice, adding a sort of tart twist to the otherwise sweet and savory blend. All we can say at this point is that homemade strawberry jam is a must, at least once in a lifetime and since it's so easy we suggest a few more than that. It turned out to be especially delicious over bagels and cream cheese.

The Jam was the highlight of this brunch, almost too simple to taste so good, but then again its full of delicious sugar and there is nothing wrong with that. Fresh makes it best.>>Support your local businesses and farmers. Support Findlay Market.
